I looked at it real close, and it looks like the top plate can def be swapped, but I am not sure about it being used for a 4 speed. It looks like the auto part is cast into it. Chrysler # on back is 2589849 I got a PM, saying same top plate 1966-1969,center trim swaps out, for the wood grain...

If you look at the back, that center is removable, I guess to swap out to wood grain, or the ribbed one. It also has the hole for the clock/tac. so much crazy/misleading info" another one...
