I have the same car and engine with a mopar marine intake and dual edelbrock carbs and used the stock cable with a modified stock bracket. I also have a stage 5 intake and it is a tad taller but I think the same setup would work.
For some reason I was thinking there’s around 1” difference in the wheel base between dodge and Plymouth with the dodge being longer. That could be on the later models I'm not that familiar with the early cars but if that holds true with them maybe you need a pair of dodge front spring hangers...

has the engine been ran since the gaskets were torqued? they can be torqued as many times as needed if they haven’t’ been ran
to the point of being seated by engine heat.
I read this statement from cometic on a gasket comparison write up. And you really
shouldn’t use any type of sealer on them...
Front and back of cylinder walls are non thrust the other two sides are major and minor thrust sides. BB mopar major thrust 1,3,5,7 are intake and 2,4,6,8 are exhaust sides.
