I rebuilt the coupler on my Dodge pickup. It looks similar to the ones in the old b bodies. I dont know about the specific sizes/dimensions. Might be worth a look? Dorman Products - 425-253
What is the issue about the tail lights? Did 62s have pot metal tail lights? This guy said the car has aluminum tail lights. I'm not familiar with 62s.
I was cruising Facebook, and came across this on there. Apparently someone has parted out a 62 Belv and found this tag on the firewall. I'm just curious if anyone knows anything about this? Was it a rare race car? I'm not connected to this in any way, just like to know what you guys think...
You do know that the cable has to be clamped under that clamp and nut thing. Right?
Looks like you have a 318 2 barrell bracket assembly. And the kickdown linkage has a lot of angle on it...
My 62 Dodge pickup that I referred to in the original post had a handbrake lever under the dash that you had to pull. It had a handle that could be twisted to tighten up the cable. I have seen identical looking levers on old fork lifts.
Another thread on early cars got me to thinking. I know my 63 Fury w/ pushbuttons had a park lever. I had a 62 D 100 pickup that did not have park. It had buttons, but no park lever. It had a big drum on the rear of the trans that functioned as a parking brake. I'm pretty sure my Dad's 62...
Yeah. When I want to buy something, it is made of pure 14K solid gold. When I want to sell something, it seems to be made of pure 100% solid fecal material...
I think the fit problem is with header for big blocks. I once tried to put a set of early B Body headers on my 67 Coronet. The right side tubes pushed back into the firewall so far that it would take a sledge hammer "massage" to make them fit.
If you do an original booster on an early B Body, be aware that it takes a different reinforcement plate on the firewall than a non power brake car. You will need that plate too.
This is the factory Midland booster on my 64 Plymouth with power brakes>
I put a 2-1/2" dual exhaust from TTI on my early B Body. Used the HP manifolds. They just need the casting numbers from both manifolds, and will make the down pipes to fit.
I put HP manifolds on my 64 Fury with no problem. I think the only differences between different year B Body HP manifolds is the direction in which the pipe flanges are oriented. I used TTI to make my exhaust system. I gave them the casting numbers from both of my manifolds, and they made the...
