Hey guys, keep in mind that a 360 Magnum would probably be a truck engine. The oil pans and pickup tubes from a truck don't fit into a car. And 318 pan and pickup will not fit the 360. You will need to find those from a 360 car engine.
What he said above. The plastic timing gear debris need to be cleaned out of the oil pan and pickup. I speak from experience. Lost a 440 once due to plastic timing crumbs getting into the oil pump.
I remember a girl that drove a really nice looking 67 Coronet 500 2 dr hardtop. Silver with black vinyl top. It was a factory slant 6 car. And I have seen a 2nd gen Charger with a slant 6.
My 67 Coronet R/T has a short rear PB cable on the left side, and a long rear PB cable on the right side that snakes over top of the differential and driveshaft, and hooks to the main cable on the left side of the car. I think the 64 main cable is routed different. The 64 cables should work in...
I don't think Chrysler put the VIN numbers on engines until 1968. The machine pad below the distributor will designate the engine cubic inch size and the manufactured year. I believe that a 361 made in 1964 should have the designation "V 36".
Junkyard paint pen. Used to ID parts, and to mark what is sold in case customers try to return something. I have a lower control arm on my truck marked ODAS. (I purchased it at Old Dominion Auto Salvage.)
Did a spark plug blow apart? Is that the wire end part of the electrode?
I accidentally left a plug untightened on a 318 once, and it vibrated loose and fell out. Awful exhaust leak sounding noise when it happened.
My original 67 R/T has chrome covers, and the passenger side has the bracket for the heater hose attached, and driver side has the small single plug wire holder.
But it does not have the big stand up plug wire holder bracket on the passenger side.
Where do you get this braided line? I have had the same oil press gauge, and it's plastic line, in my 67 R/T since about 1978. This thread is making me think about that old 44 year old plastic line......
Pretty much a bolt in. Some later model engines have a water pump housing with the lower hose on the other side of where yours will be. But the 361 housing will swap right over if needed. Also, the early (62 to 65) oil pans and pickups have the sump in a different place than the later engines...
I have never noticed this having much smell at all. I use it indoors for painter caulk. You are probably thinking about POLY-URETHANE. That is some nasty **** to work with....
You may laugh, but I started using this caulk/adhesive when I was doing vinyl siding and windows. Cheap, and it can be cleaned up with water before it cures, but then holds tight. Have glued a lot of other stuff with it over the years. Including the wide plastic side door trims that were falling...
