I have not seen any Plymouth B bodies studies because at that time Petty wanted to drive a Daytona and when told no he left Plymouth and went to Ford.
I have seen a few pics of a 70 Superbee Bird. If someone has a base 70 Coronet they just need to nose cone, wing, fender scoopes and the cap...
Blame the goverment for that change in 72 and also the bumper guards having to have the rubber on them is another one of their ideas...someone how that got lost on todays cars.
I would like to see 71 side marker lights on these bodies.
I think it was talked about on the board some where. You're right they did out law them or was going to make them run a smaller motor. Also the sales were not great for these cars.
I think a Daytona went way over 200MPH and was it Buddy Baker who was driving it? The Superbird if I remember...
The factory was going to do this but pulled out on the project. They look great this way. Ifs funny how much the 71 Plymouth Superbird design looks almost like our modern jet fighters.
I thinkt he 71s would have been the most aero dynamic cars in racing if they would have done them.
I would take $110.00 and I would have to see what it would cost to ship to Canada.
What were you thinking in using for lights? I can't wait to see more work on the Bird and with metal skills to make fenders man i wish I had that. Coronet fenders are hard to find and most of them always need...
WOW!!!!! That is awesome you made fenders for it. You could sell those fast! Is this a real or clone Bird? I've missed it some where along the way.
Also do you need front side marker lights? I have a set just polish, clean up and put on.
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't big willy the guy waving the flag or getting them to the starting line?
I need to go watch that movie. I love that one and Vanishing point and Diryt Marry and Crazy Larry.
Yeah I like ralley wheels but if you can get the wheels in the band picture I would as like you said the history and its a part of that car now.
I cant wait to see more pics as well. I also cant wait for warm weather atleast spring weather.
Yeah that would have been and it would be one more way of showing people out there its not a wast to restore it and it can be done.
I just wish I could get my R/T looking good. I dont know if it will ever see the light of day again.
yeah and then it will be passed off as something it shouldnt be.
I wonder if the burnt car could be restored with all the parts AMD has and are doing its coming close to doing a full car just out of parts.
That is a great looking Super Bird. Tell me as I dont know the back story on it is this a real super bird and is it a real black car?
That is going to be an awesome looking car when done its already awesome man Im drooling.
What month did they do this and is on the stands now. I used to get the magazine but have not gotten any Mopar mags in years. AMD seems to be leading the way in reproduction parts.
Also there is a thread on this car on here it was sold. I wonder if it will be restored or rebodied?
How will it be restored? This would be interesting project to see come back to life and use the original body.
I know AMD makes new roofs for 69-70 and I want to say 68-70 not sure if 68 was a little differnt or not.
The make just about everything to redo the car but man what a job it...
