    383 low oil pressure

Open up the oil filter to see what's in it. If it's a knocking noise, check for a loose torque converter bolt if auto.

    Pulley Alignment

IMO, over time you'll likely wear the front face of one pulley V and the rear face of the other. Enhance the possibility of the belt rolling off at high RPM.

    1969-1970 BB flywheel question?

I believe the 143 tooth FW was typically used with a 11" disc setup and cast iron '68-'69 bells. Since the diameter of the 143 FW is larger diameter than a 130 FW, the starter is located further out by necessity. Aftermarket scatter shields can accommodate both FW sizes in most cases. The 130...

    Clutch pedal issue

For the B&B style, the cover springs need to get the pedal to just past "center up" for the OC spring to lift it to the stop. FWIW, the MP book has a setup fixture that checks installed finger height as a way to find out. They don't say how it's used ....... I use a ground disc in between...

I feel for those of you who don't have tools or expertise. I have plenty of both. But todays experience was beyond frustrating

Nice work! Lol, back in the day starting out, many could barely afford decent wrench set. One was considered lucky to have a driveway to work on a car your dad thought was junk rather than along the street curb. We learned using "change by do" like how to covert a column automatic to a four...
