    No Ported Vacuum on AFB

If you have no vacuum at the nipple on carb. Shut motor off. Open primary wide open, place catch rag/towel under bore slot for vacuum. Shoot carb cleaner through the vacuum tube. Should come out the slot. If you get a lot of dirt/grit. I would remove carb and thoroughly clean. Have rag...

    No Ported Vacuum on AFB

Put your vacuum gauge on the hose end that goes to distributor vacuum can. Does it register vacuum? If no, attach directly to the carb? Either hose is clogged or the vacuum slot in the carb to the tube is plugged/clogged. Picture show slot on the right side primary. Hard to believe it is...

    Intake bolt question.

Slang I guess for front and rear of block where manifold seals. RB has same were intake pan seals against.

    Intake bolt question.

Originally they were 10 allen head including extra 6 for china wall with 6 studs with hex nuts. Unfortunately, over torquing the china wall bolts would break the manifold. So they quickly moved to roll pins only at china wall. 66-67. 68 they moved to hex head bolts, plus the 6 studs...

    67-70 B Body Master Cylinder

Who is the manufacturer? These would be correct for 68-70 B body non hemi. Are they 1 1/8" bore? You used to be able to by that for under $50. I guess they started to make it with ports on both sides to save cost/inventory.

    Carb and timing

Make sure no vacuum leaks, all ports in use or plugged on the carb and manifold. What is idle and low rpm vacuum value. A mentioned by other you need to know the arm stamp and springs inside the distributor. This will tell you what level of mechanical advance it will give and how fast...

    Hemi advance timing?

There was no 64 charger in us, but that is the super stock distributor for the 64-65 super stock cars. I have that distributor. I think Moto Manual gave you the crank timing. Think of the slot length required to give 24 at the distributor. The largest I have seen is 17 degree slot on mopar...

    Hemi advance timing?

What specifically do you mean by 48 curve? Including Vacuum? The 66-67 Non emission hemi put in 17 deg mechanical at the crank. Vacuum could add 18-19 deg at 15". The cap carbs and 68 up were putting 30 deg mechanical but used 0 deg initial timing. Same vacuum adv. So they were running...

Not the nut, but inside at inlet there is suppose to be color coded ring.

So silver ring in 6 what color in the v8 ones?

NOS pcv valves 1969 and earlier V8 cars . a comparison

So as I understand it there were 2 versions. On for 6cyl and one for the V-8. Maybe a third early on that could be disassembled. There is suppose to be a color coded ring on the inlet side that plugs into Valve cover. Basically a calibration of idle flow based on vacuum motor made.

    Distributor id

Late to this but Fran you are correct, that does use the small point high tension points with no condenser. That was the distributor for the 64-65 super stock hemis. His is a service version with later date. Here is the one I own which I restored. I also have the Prestolite parts that came...

    10 vane water pump ??'s

Those cast iron and plastic impellers were used in the early 60 maybe late 50s too. SVM told you to break the plastic with chisel, and the rebuild kit had new impeller. It should have been on an early casting housing, but I am sure rebuilders put it on any housing if needed.

    Fan Pulley

Here is the Federal pump with federal bracket. Going back to the beginning. It looks like you have a Federal pump on your car now with the TRW brackets. So your pump is higher and larger pulley so the belt rubs water pump. If you had the original TRW with small pulley you would clear. Since...

    Fan Pulley

Not without distorting the bracket. You don't mix brackets. I did not think B bodies came with large TRW pump. Thought that was C and Imperial.
