They make a 4 bbl manifold to fit the 5.7 but I would like the old school six pack and the new efi six pack looks close to a carb but you still have the efficiency.

It might not even be possible to do but it would be cool if you could take a modern 5.7 and adapt a new efi six pack set up on it. Then have a stand a lone ignition resulting in no need for a factory style computer. I think it would look more old school. I guess anything is possible if you have...

My 08 5.7 has 5-20 in the cap I use real oil not that synthetic. Never was a fan of that.

I thought recommended oil is 5-20 . I have always used 5-20 Mobil 5000 in our 08 300 5.7. So far 147000 trouble free miles and counting.

Not saying it cant or wont happen but I have an 03 , 05 , and an 08 all 5.7 hemi's and all have over 130000 miles. None have ever had a valve related issue. Just saying....

I am sure others with more knowledge will chime in but the same computer will run the engine and the 545 transmission. I think only the 03 truck had a separate computer for the transmission. I hear the 05 computer is a good choice. Column shift works good just use a cable to adapt to the floor...

If this is true your saying the 440 has more torque than a Gen III hemi? I thought the 5.7 or 6.1 had at least equal or better torque. I guess I have never really compared the two on paper.
