you are right about the mounting angle. My Rover SD1, or 90 Sterling had no wiring, but out of the car I could tilt the assembly and it would lock, only unlock at the correct mounting angle. Hope this helps.

My 63 triple black sport fury convertible house bronze or copper trim on the seats and door panels. The interior is completely original, with minimal wear, but I would like to repaint these areas. Does anyone know how to find the paint code for this bronze trim?
My 63 SF vert is original in every respect, but the right door panel is loose and bent at the lower forward end. Photos show why: apparently the cardboard was wet, some previous owner stapled some of it together, unsuccessfully.
My plan is to maybe steam iron the cardboard flat?? and then glue...
My 63 instrument panel bezel is intact, but yellowed. Is this from years of UV? Or was it bronze to match the bronze trim on my black interior? Should I leave it? Paint it chrome? Paint it bronze? Thanks!
My 63 visors are remarkably well preserved, except that the plastic inner ends of both are fractured. Any advice as to how to replace these inner ends? thanks!
