Cranky, I was almost ready to pull the plug on acquiring a 3.91 in my sure grip. I have a 489 case. How much do you want for your 3.91?

I did a similar install with my 354. Check with these guys as they have EVERYTHING re: Gen 1 Hemi's. They are in Lowgap, NC. http://www.hothemiheads.com/
Just for grins, ...and I realize that you said it's a fuel problem, but how is your exhaust pipes/headers, etc. Did the transmission shop perhaps bend (or crush) your header pipe? Just spitballin'

I have a similar comp cam in my 383. It runs like a bat out of hell. I also only drive my to car shows and very little around town,.....and an occasional challenge from a 5.0 Mustang. ZAP !
You can forget Cardone, there are none in captivity. I searched the world over - including directly to Cardone, but those pumps could not be had. Rebuild it at Steer & Gear.
With the short bell housing, it must be 1954 or later. It looks like a Desoto, but is not 354 due to the heads not having the ports for water. My first guess - without seeing any further - is either a 276 or a 291 FireDome. Yes, a Hemi, but virtually no parts are available. And NO, the...

Hey, let's wake this puppy up. Yes, increase the carb to a 750, reduce the stall to a 2200-2500, and for heaven's sake, dump those 2.93 gears for something more like a 3.23....preferable to a 3.55. All the other items in previous posts apply as well...timing, etc. Personally, the lift...
