Re: the Mecum cars: $159,500 and $137,500. No idea how these cars were condition wise etc. but does it seem to you that PRICES ARE MODERATING?
Stock market off a lot since the start of the year, in the USA 30 year fixed mortgages are now over 5%. "Recession" being bantered about. In Canada...
You probably saw this one today at Mecum:

$137,500
99% sure that the $137,500 includes the buyer's premium.
This one sold today at Mecum. Says $159,500 as the sale price:

I believe the bidder fee is included in that amount.
@Boydsdodge Sent me this photo. Jackson just got back from the Spring Fling in LA where he took this photo. Must be nice. Is the owner of these cars (Sean from Palm Springs) a forum member?
One up for auction. Get the details from the Dodge Charger forum:

Car is in pieces and has been in pieces for years. It'll be "fun" putting this one together.
Glad to hear this. I had thought I had taken the fender tag off the car. And what are the chances that you actually found the guy who had pried the VIN from the car way back when (some time prior to 1979 when I bought the car from Chants.
A couple questions:
1. Where are you located?
2. Could...
I don't even remember this.
I do remember though, that garage art to us back then mostly was comprised of pictures of naked women, the DC Posters (gotta love Claudia), and the Pirelli calendars.
As the result of that FB thread I was sent an old photo of my car, RM23U0A163474, taken at the Speed Sport car show in Toronto in Jan. 1981. That was a really good show as we recruited lots of people to join the Mopar Muscle Club, including people who I am still friends with to this day. That is...
My buddy Tim from England sent me a photo today of a thread on Old Ontario Mopars before 2000 (it's a Facebook Group). It involves a Superbird that I bought out of a wrecking yard in 1979: RM23V0A173747.

The car was apparently sold new by St...
I am seeing your comments on BAT. I hope you are "talking the price down". If you are interested in the car best of luck with the auction (I'm not a taker for it).
Yep. I don't think that there is much doubt that it's a re-body. Still I'd like to own it as a hotrod and not be fussed about all the problems associated with its collector car status, which, charitably speaking, is ambiguous.
I seem to recall it being for sale for $195,000 (?) or $250,000 (?)...
And wasn't this car for sale on ebay last year (or so)? If not this one, another R code 'bird with a roll bar was for sale because I remember that. Just can't remember the colour. Probably this one though.
