Was wondering if there might already be a thread about the new Batmobile.
Funny thing is that all of the movie shots are so dark, that you have to look up non-movie images to actually see what the car really looks like.
‘69 Charger cut up and Tesla powered. Although, in the movie he has some...
We worked on this Sebring today. It didn’t have a brain (ignition box) on the fire wall. Took several attempts trying to crank it to figure out why the no spark condition.
Once we installed one.. we were able to figure out that it now needs a new Carter mechanical pump. I feel like we’re on...
I peruse and buy occasionally. Seller having a high feedback is crucial. Lots of good deals on used hand tools and misc. odds-ends parts.
I’ve had a bunch of shipments get lost during transit to me/buyer. eBay is surprising great on the consumer-side if the tracking shows not delivered, and...
@Jerry Hall We have only a few off limit vehicles; that also happen to be station wagons!
There’s something about a classic wagon that is too rare and awesome to not keep in the family.
Thanks for coming by this weekend @crahill!
So glad you were able to purchase a car from my father’s collection!
Yes, it’s true that we’re selling off the majority of these vehicles. There’s too many to list, but mostly ‘66-69 Satellites/Belvedere’s, 3 Chargers (1970 and two ‘68’s for sale), 2...
Agh! I hate to hear this bad news. Roy was great for the Florida and Georgia Mopar community. He was a well recognized name, trusted reseller of hard to find parts, and was ALWAYS willing to provide feedback and advice regarding our Mopars.
Sad to hear that he is no longer among us.
Yep, that’s a tremendous deal even at $25k. The ‘68’s keep getting bought up by the larger restoration/show-room type companies and, they charge 3x the asking price. ‘68 is also the most desirable year (from a collectible/value standpoint) for the Charger.
Unless you plan to put it in a museum or auction it off to investors... I’d say it’s your car and you can use quality after market parts on most components - without sweating it. If you’re too worried, you can always keep a parts surplus of anything you R&R.
That’s a gorgeous ‘69 Charger R/T!
Donnie Yen in IP Man movies is really worth watching. I also grew up during the Jackie Chan era and always admired how JC did his own stunts. IP Man is def. a must watch of you’re into martial arts movies. He was Bruce Lee’s trainer (and, that’s somewhat the premise behind the movies).
This is one of those topics where I feel like there’s a lot of older, experienced guys who will swear by Dino but, I routinely see the newer synthetic oils outperform (in every aspect) their Dino counterparts - in newer model vehicles. I’d love to see some actual peer reviewed lab tests in our...
Keep us posted Rlevs. This sounds like a fun project to piece back together. It’s hard to put a price on it’s current condition but, it sounds like you’ve got everything you need to make a fun, rare, R/T ride (possibly more than 1, since you scored 3 whole cars).
I’ve never been a fan of Forest/Hunter Green but, this car’s lines look great in the Darker Green.
Edit: Pic’s title says Belvedere but, it’s a ‘66 Satellite. Sorry!
