Can a proper carter pump allow fuel to bleed down or in other words, flow back pass the pump after setting for a few days! Also car has 3/8” fuel lines on both sides of the pump! FYI , what’s the cost of your replacement pumps! Thanks, JC
Yep , if all test ck out and probably grounded and no success with repop sender , tanks inc , has a little device that works really well and not to very expensive!
Yes , I to have read all those post, but sure all modern cars have ck valves in the system to stop drain back and it’s an inexpensive part to try , will report back !
Ok thanks , on this fuel line install the filter stands in a vertical away from any metal parts but appears to drain back , have considered trying ck valve tween pump and carb , just to see ! Thought someone has been there and done it !
After running 440 for few hrs and parking for days , and cking fuel filter, which appears to be mostly empty, do we think trying a ck valve between pump and carb might help ? 67 440 Gtx thermoquad carb , carter pump , all fresh , just curious!

When building my Gtx and installing new tank had radiator shop install a a bung in front corner and a valve to drain no issues and no old gas in system, lawn mower loves it !
