    Frustrated again

Ordered a new dash wiring harness a few days ago. First vendor was backordered, no delivery date. Second showed it in stock but hasn't shipped yet so I fear the worst there...

    Wiper Refills for 1969 Roadrunner

I had a hell of a time with my '71 Superbee. The wipers disappear under the sill of the front hood for the 'hidden wiper' look and the clearance is less than an inch. I must have purchased 6 different sets of blades, all stating they would work with my car, none of them did. I finally found a...

    Gasket sealer?

I have never been able to get the fancy rubber valve cover gaskets to seal. Recently went through 3 sets, used the NAPA black stuff and they would always leak, usually because the thinner width of the rubber gaskets would allow the gasket to move and leak. I finally went to the common cork...

'71 Superbee - what goes here?

In that vast space in front of the radiator (my wife thinks there should be some custom luggage for the space) there is a bracket, driver side, in front of the radiator that has several wires going to it. I cannot figure out what might have gone here. Any ideas?

    Stock or not?

To add to the conversation, one could argue that any non-numbers matching car isn't stock any more. That would certainly limit the field. Where would this stop? Replacement screws ok? I have red MSD spark plug wires...

    Stock or not?

I always figured that replacement parts, like a radiator, didn't affect a 'stock' designation. It's almost impossible to find factory parts for a 50-year old car these days. The headers are the item that put me on the fence, but again replacement factory exhaust manifolds are not easy to find...

    Stock or not?

A little history on the car. I purchased it about 5 months ago from a consignment shop in the South. From what I was told it had been sitting for a long time in a protected warehouse. The brakes were rusted and shot, water and oil leaks, the front end suspension and steering were very bad and...

‘71 Superbee 440 high oil pressure

Does the high oil pressure affect anything? Engine runs beautifully (at least until #7 plug wire pops off) and doesn’t use oil. Just not sure what is affected.

    Intermittent squealing

Old-timer suggestion. Take a bar of soap and press it against the inside of the belt while running. The squeal will go away and the belt will be fine. No idea why this works.

‘71 Superbee 440 high oil pressure

My Superbee has a replacement 440, was a 383 from the factory. Dash and instruments are all original. The oil pressure gauge reads near the high end of the dial at all times, sometimes moves a bit but not much. Is it possible it’s reading high because of the 440 vs. original 383? Is there any...

    Why won't my brakes bleed

I had this exact problem on my ‘71 Superbee. I replaced the front brakes completely and simply could not get the rear brakes to bleed no matter what I tried. Turned out the issue was the rubber section of brake lines were completely blocked and one of the rear cylinders was rusted. I replaced...

    Stock or not?

My ‘71 Superbee was in it’s first car show this weekend and I entered it under the ‘stock’ category. But then I started wondering. To me it’s all stock but I have different valve covers and the 440 is equipped with headers. It’s the headers I wonder about. Where is the line between stock...
