If someone really wants your car they will just put it on a rollback and drive off with it. I sugest a good apraisl and insurance. If you have receipts insurance companies will insure it for the cost to build but you will pay for it.
I am more of a Glock man my self.
How about paying it forward and trade someone with the correct car a repoped one for this one (you have garage art and they will have a correct piece). Keep the giving going. You will still have something to remember the gentleman by and you will be doing a good deed for someone else.

They are 45 bucks at napa. It may be worth the cash just to insure that isn't the problem and you know the gauges are protected.
Rebuilding the gauges are expensive in comparison. Cheap insurance.
I had this one a 78 power wagon. I pulled, cleaned and relubed the cable. It has been working like a charm since. I also used compressed air (can not compressor) to blow out the dust from the gauge. It still bounces once I start getting close to 80 MPH but below that it works fine now. The...

Now 440, Hotchkis and firm feel suspension, new radiator and other little things to be reliable in our 110 heat of the last few weeks. She will have 18's, large 13" or 14" disc brakes, maybe a t56, and then fuel injection.
No matter what she...
There is a gent that has a 67 Charger with 451, edelbrock heads, megasquirter efi and twin turbo's. He is putting down 729 hp at the wheels and still needing final tuning. He drives it on the Power Tour every year or almost every year. It also has a T56 in it.
It shouldbe as Sixer said. Check your vent hoses and tube for any blockage. I suggest doing this with very little gas in the tank. It really sucks getting drenched in gas.
Mine did the same thing. I got a new grommet from my local dodge dealer. It worked great. I still have a drip at fill up but it is because of my dry rotted hoses needing replaced.
I usually set the pump on full flow and walk away. When it clicks off I am done.
It isn't that there will not be a benifit. The questions is how much will it help your build (not much) verse the cost. If you where building a bigger motor it would be worth the extra cost and you would see hte benifit. If your build, the extra cost will gain you little so it isn't worth it.
There are log on issues for a lot of people. The founder (admin) is looking for help as he is taking another job that is going to have him busy.
