I had a Carter4429s done by Scott last year. Same experience. It turned out awesome looking.

I remember doing this a few years back and researching it....if I remember correctly there had been some issues with the sizes of the inlets/outlets. But I do not remember the details. I think the details were on this forum. I ended up getting mine from Frank Badalson...zero issues.

Good Day, Can anyone decode the numbers on this Carter Fuel Pump? I know the model is 4334 but what about the rest? I did do some searching but didn’t really come up with a definitive answer. Thanks to all! macdon221

Can anyone tell me the model/make of this fuel pump? No numbers or markings except for the “made in canada” on the bottom and the bottom flange between the screws. After identification...is there a kit to rebuild it?

Good day all, Anyone know how to decode these fuel pump numbers...if they mean anything? It’s a Carter 4334. The numbers that may be hard to see are “1588” and “759”.

Dragon Slayer... thx for you reply. there was bubbling at the flange...but pretty sure it was due to the fact I sprayed it down to clean with some varsol. i still have not really identified the pump yet. But yes...there is a single screw at the bottom of the pump in the middle.

The FSM actually had it listed right in there the pump model to use. I guess i should of looked there first. Model MS-4434S. Now to find one.

So for a replacement for my 68 440HP motor...the parts book indicates that the Chrysler part number is 3004 107. At various outlets I see this part number referring to 2 different pump models; the carter 3672 and carter 4434. What is the consensus on which one to go with? Are there differences...

As moparedtn noted...that this pump I seem to have is a Carter “hemi” fuel pump...would this have been found on a 440 as from the factory or not?

Yes. I do know about the pump push rod. if i end up taking off the pump, while there should i remove the push rod to inspect? What the indicators it needs to be changed?
