Looking at the picture from nicksgarage....it looks as if the base I have is the one on the left in the bases photo.....
But the top looks like the height of the one on the right in the top portion photos

In the fall I did exactly as you described. Didn’t seem to be any excessive movement or roll in the engine.

My 68 charger...most everything under the hood is stock. It was special order Canadian car...it was delivered with the silenced California duel snorkel. The drivers side snorkel tube rubs on the hood ever so slightly. Not at rest...but with a little revving it moves just a bit with the rock of...
