    1970 Coronet Pictures...deluxe,4dr,440,500,wagon,rag or R/T!

Rubber floor standard for the '70 Deluxe; carpet was N/A. All other '70 Coronets are the opposite per the Salesman's Pocket Guide.

    1970 Coronet Pictures...deluxe,4dr,440,500,wagon,rag or R/T!

A couple more composites built from Hamtramck-lifted images. The "F" of the paint color indicates it was a 'new in 1970' formulation/color. ^^Edit - I see, now, the fender tag you are looking at; exterior color is EF8 Green, the T6 is the upper door frame color. Everyone probably already...

    68 fender tag .

Add to the above: UU1 = Monotone Light Blue Metallic exterior 46 = F70-14 White Sidewall/White Streak tires 2-5 = Drip rail moldings 7-8 = Wheel opening moldings This model was built at Lynch, LA and St.L; inspector's stamp looks like St. Louis to me, so WM21H8Gxxxxxx VIN?

    Extremely Rotted Fender Tag - Possible 69 R/T Charger w/ 4spd & Track Pak?

As far as your decode, only thing I notice is "V68" is probably "V88"? (Transverse (Bumblebee) instead of longitudinal.... delete none the less; R/T emblem present on the rear of the quarters instead of stripe)

Need a diffenent alternator tensioning bracket

An alterna(tor)tive.... Those alternators self-excite at fairly low RPMs I think...bigger pulley? Just a thought.

    Looking for matching numbers

I believe that's correct. And the small blocks were red. (edit - the '69 340 was Turq.) But there could always be a repaint - the VIN comparison is the definitive "test" whether original or replaced & no engine VIN = warranty/OTC block to me.

    Looking for matching numbers

Concur. Throw A/C in the mix and we have Superbees and Roadrunners without the "Magnum (Superbee)/Roadrunner engine" such as it has been called (cam/cleaner/dual ex, etc). I wouldn't think it could be original, though - all the '69 4-bbl 383s were 10:1 and premium; only the 2-bbls were 9.2:1...

    Looking for matching numbers

Correct on your engine. On the other engine, "R" is for regular gas. Not a Superbee engine, which would be an "HP". VIN should be stamped on that being E/'69. That engine was most likely a two barrel as built. Some higher compression engines can have just a "P" - which indicates to use...

    Looking for matching numbers

If there's nothing stamped on the pad, or maybe just a "WT" for 'water test', that adds to the likelihood it is a replacement engine block. You might need to scrape the paint.

Looking for help decoding a Lynch Plant Fender Tag for a Coronet

    My cheat sheets are all still trapped on a dead computer, so from memory; Your VIN: WM23H9A226912 W = Coronet in '69 M = Medium price - Superbee in the Coronet line 23 - (2) 2 door (3) hard top E63 = 383 4-bbl D32 = 727 Auto 212-317637 = shipping order # F5 F5 = Body paint M6G = Medium trim...

    ID Help

Are you asking about model? No side markers, so initial guess would be a '67 Barracuda Notch-back BH23, but it could be a '68-9 that had them "shaved"? As for value, heck - I don't know...you could add up to a couple thousand in glass, frames, panels, whachamacallits, doodads, and godammits...

    L-Code vs. K-Code 440

Also, the air cleaners were typically unsilenced on the 440 HPs (whereas the 4-bbl was dual snorkle), they got a clutched fan, and depending on the model, bumped the standard gear ratio from 2.76 to 3.23. They were "Commando" for Plymouth, "Magnum" for Dodge and "TNT" for Chrysler if memory...

    Rear DODGE Coronet letters

I would think the difference is (at the very least) in the mounting pins - the 1970 pins go through (on R/T and 500) the trim panel, are quite short, and are peened down to fasten; '68/69 go through a body panel and attach with (presumably) Tinnerman nuts. **quick edit: - I tend to use Tinnerman...

    1969 Sport Satellite - upgraded to a 440/727. What's a fair sales price?

Looks like the fender tag is still there - @69SportSatellite - would you be so kind to supply a peak at it for us? (or did I miss it?) @YY1 - who did you pull your pricing data from? Hagerty or similar? I'd like to see what their "condition" rankings entail. I've got a mostly complete...

Fender tags: What codes did they list, which ones were left off?

Presuming you have A/C then? I believe tinted would be the default with A/C. What year ('69 by your avatar?) and assembly plant? (they're not consistent throughout)
