I'm not a fan of undercoating and this is exactly the type of undercoating that scares me the most.
I mean why would you apply it like that if not to hide something?
Congratulations
This highlights the quality engineering behind these old engines.
Try that (doing something wrong continuously for 6 years in a row) with a modern car. :D
Isn't there a reason not to use iridium spark plugs with these engines? I could be wrong but i remember...
But the engine has been rebuilt 6k miles ago so i wouldn't really rely on that.
Given it's not running right on regular i'm guessing the rebuilder probably tuned it for 93 octane.
Well finding out is as easy as putting some 93 in the tank and then floor it (after the remaining regular fuel is...
That's interesting.
Edit:
I noticed you have an aftermarket MSD Distributor and Coil.
I agree you should start by adjusting timing and running high 93 octane fuel.
The Charger sold for about 70k incl. buyers premium.
Unfortunately hoovie again, like with the superbird, lied regarding the condition of the car saying it is original/survivor except the paint. *
A simple look under the hood is enough to see that it is not original under there.
Also i recall...
Well first time i've been called a grumpy old man. (Being 28 that happens kinda rarely i guess) :D
I don't know what he means by "screaming" but 3.23 isn't all that steep of a ratio. (Like 4.x would be)
I didn't take mine apart but i suspect its exactly the same ratio and i have no screaming...
I personally found it a major a-hole move when he made videos about how the "car wizard" screwed up putting the wrong fluid in one of his expensive mercedes.
This guy repairs hundreds of cars for him @ cheap labor, then screws up once by accident and he has to celebrate that in front of...
I'm sure nobody here wants to mob you and most would actually be happy to help but you can't expect us to agree with everything you say just because you say so.
If you can't accept that and want to leave, too bad but you know where the door is.
Just 1 last piece of advice:
I wouldn't piss off...
Oh man, why did you have to put that in quotes? :D
I was just in the process of writing a long post defending the people on fbbo but in short we really have some knowledgeable people on here that have NICE cars and are around for a long time.
I trust them way more than some auction "expert"...
Hey, how was miami? :)
I wasn't joking when i said that i envy you for that trip. (Greetings from cold germany)
Because of the ratio written on the diff case (which of course does not have to be accurate):
Are you sure the transmission shifts into 3rd gear?
If so you need a numerically lower...
What this is, is a "mildly" modified charger with quite a few issues.
What it could be after some repairs is a decent daily driver.
What it isn't and will never be is a survivor.
What it can only be after a full restoration is original.
So you think Elon is a good guy? I don't know much about him but the fact that he is the man behind tesla is enough for me to believe he's not a good guy.
I would never sell a superbird for virtually ANY mercedes.
It would have to be a very good mercedes before i would even consider trading a first gen intrepid for it.
Well i'm probably not the typical german. :D
Well i envy him for being in miami right now but not for the car. :D
Survivor Hooptie
It's still a 68 charger r/t but needs quite a bit if you want to make it perfect/back to stock. (That i can already see before the trip to the wizard) :steering:
Also:
Selling his apparently "all sorted out"...
