    Tail light bulbs

1141 is the same size, but only 18 W. It looks like all three bulbs are the same, except for the wattage. So it depends how bright you want the back up lamps to be. Of course anything brighter (hotter) could be a problem

    Tail light bulbs

    It looks like a 1073 and a 1156 are the same except a 1073 is rated 23 W and a 1156 27 W

My pictures and observations are based on using an OEM wiring harness

Power Window door rubber boot location -69 Charger

I think it is almost impossible to drill the holes with the doors on the car. Because of the size of the holes, I ended up using hole saws

Power Window door rubber boot location -69 Charger

Here are a couple more pictures. The grommet in the jam is higher than the grommet in the door. That is so there is no interference between the two.

Power Window door rubber boot location -69 Charger

Here it is on a 68 Coronet. There should be a drilling dimple on the door jamb and the door indicating where the holes should be. The hole in the door jamb is larger than the hole in the door. That is so you can get the rubber grommet that plugs into the door through the jamb. The rubber grommet...

How does a 68 charger trunk lid prop open?

I am not 100% sure about this, but I think the rod used must be hardened steel. In the same way you cannot take ordinary steel rod and make it into a coil spring. I would think that the rod is bent and then after being shaped it gets hardened.

How does a 68 charger trunk lid prop open?

I have never put trunk springs in, but some things are readily apparent. The first is that the end of the spring that goes into the slider must be installed first. In the pictures (of the driver's side) you can see how the spring goes through the bracket. In the first picture the trunk is up...

    License plate frame interference

I finally got around to cleaning up and installing a vintage Raynal Dodge dealership license plate frame. Unfortunately, the bottom of the frame (being longer than the plate) hits the bumper when I try to get at the fuel filler. It does not open far enough to get a pump nozzle in. I have a...

How does a 68 charger trunk lid prop open?

I mentioned earlier that the torsion bars are opposite symmetrical (mirror image). If this isn't what you are looking for, let me know.

How does a 68 charger trunk lid prop open?

The pictures I posted are from a 68 Coronet. The factory service manual doesn’t show any difference between a coronet and a charger

How does a 68 charger trunk lid prop open?

To make it easier to see, I put masking tape on the torsion bar that puts upward pressure on the drivers side trunk hinge. The first picture shows the end of the torsion bar going onto the slider, then passing through the hinge support bracket. The second shows the route it takes to the other...

How does a 68 charger trunk lid prop open?

Look at the top page of the FSM. In the illustration it is referred to as a slide.

How does a 68 charger trunk lid prop open?

There are two springs that look like long rods. One side of the rod is attached to the hinge and the other one goes in a slot on the opposite side of the trunk. If a wing or a luggage rack is attached to the trunk the extra slots, when used, make the springs tighter and able to hold the trunk up...

Anyone know or have a template to install R/T emblems

Are you saying that the fenders don’t have holes in them for the emblems?

Dash paint (speaker and defroster area) do you clear coat this?

By the way, SEM Landau black is the exact color of the plastic dash pieces, such as the instrument cluster bezel, radio bezel, and the hockey stick above the glove box. SEM is the only company authorized to sell that color.
