    air compressor recommendation

We have an 80 gal I-Rand, its noisy but works great. Quincy is another good one. Pressure is not a big issue with most, its the cfm they can deliver at 90psi. If you can add an in line 110v refrigerated dryer. It will save your tools and grief if painting.

    Continuity tester with a difference

Personally I prefer the Power Probe, which gives you the ability to send 12v. Theprobe is small enough to pierce the isulation but if you miss you are bleeding... My finger has been pierced as much as a diabetic...

Any recommendation for a 72" ceiling fan for garage?

With a short ceiling you may want to look at getting a corner mounted oscillating type fan. An old machine shop I used to go to had this mounted in their tear down area which had a very low ceiling and I remembered that fan moving a lot of air...

Gas, MIG and TIG: Best For Which Uses?

I bought the Lincoln 200, seems to be more than I'll ever need in a small package. I havent spent a whole lot of time playing with it yet but am pretty happy with it I know there are cheaper models out there but felt this was a good compromise @ $1500.

car lifts and anti skid coatings

I coated the underside of my car with it, and was able to achieve the different textures as I was learning to spray it. I think I got a 6 bottle kit with a schutz gun for <$200 & it is tintable. I had Line-X in the bed of my 2500, it was about 1/8 thick and I never had things "slide" in it...

car lifts and anti skid coatings

Why dont you spray a bedliner on it like T-Rex? Depending on pressure and distance you can achieve any texture.

That's what I was going to say. Put a low wattage lamp in it to keep your rods dry.

Don't buy that cheap Chicom lift

Ya we have an Aimco 9000# lift, ( American made) I had my 02 Ram 2500 5.9 4x4 on it and even then it made me nervous. Of all the lift failures I've seen most have been at the base and the anchors popping out in two post liftsthat is.

    Thrift store score today...

You can swap out the cord for a 3 wire and find a place to ground the housing. Or put a GFI on the cord. Neat wall hangers, I wouldnt necessarily use them.

    Thrift store score today...

Even tools had style back then....I remember using my grandfathers vintage tools, most were aluminum housings and getting either a full on shock or just enough leakage to give you a tingle!.
