I pulled a 37k mile 73 road runner out of a barn in the upper peninsula that had not been touched since tagged in 81...had a black horn behind passenger headlight and I would put my word on it never having been moved or touched, that being said I had a 73 RR parts car for my satty that was...
I have never been to CO, but what was the change in elevation during said 80 mile round trip? go down the mountain or up? and as stated by Bruzilla...moving the dizzy only changes the way the idle feels when you go way to far..might notice a little rump or sputter down while doing but the idle...
I have a 72 satty that I plan to give the RR "treatment" but keep a satty...I like the strobes and what not but Y not go with a fictional satellite made up version of a satellite and instead of RR decals have a cool looking satty emblem made out of vinyl and be the only guy who has one..my plan...
ic wiper tranny...they had different switches for different dash inserts i believe too....rally vs standard i believe.....i know the linkage is getting hard to to find in the bone yards around here for them...hell so is the rest of the car
Tabco panels are the way to go if money is not an option.....goodmarks are cool but are what I call a trim to fit and are a couple gauges thinner....heard that Roseville had some lower patches I'll check my binder and see who all makes em still....YY1 is right on the fit and finish of the panels...
had a very similar problem with my 73 RR....was at the bottom in the middle plug...heavy red wire...when un-plugged then re-plugged..it would come loose or push out the back side of bulk head connector a little...firmly push it in and bang..no problems..of coarse they were cleaned and greased...
k got it to spark but what i found under the dash was no fun...had the column wire clip burnt at a 16-18 gauge red wire...was bypassed from clip to a black with white stripe and a solid black wire...removed the black with white tracer and bam...spark and key...but have no idea what the blk/w*...
I just went and picked up a rusty MI Roadrunner and after much fiddling I can't get it to crank with the key or spark the plugs...changed the solenoid - ECU - ballast resister/ 4 pin... could it be the neutral safety switch?...cleaned the bulk head and check grounds and wires all seems to be in...
I have a V9W option on my fender tag and all I can find on it is "rear deck stripe" now I didn't know for sure but can't recall ever seeing a 73-74 with rear deck stripe...my car is/was bronze poly metallic- white stripe? with V9W as unknown..but another place for decoding came up with optional...
my runner has the center console in it...was wondering if hanging was an option....or maybe the front have box portion of a console of one like the GM unit you used...those GM buckets?
Any body have a available pic of a 1973 RR with a rear deck stripe? thanks a bunch in advance
also any pictures of what you guys are doing to mount your radio with out butchering the dash...thanks
it is supposed to have a fender tag and i am supposed to get the vin and tag numbers today...its a ways from me...I will work on pic's to help with ID ing it...thank you for the help...the 5th digit should reveal what im worried about..if it was a 6cyl car and now has a 318...how did they get it...

right on Ron...very good job on the satty dill.....and I feel the same about my 72 satty...alot of people want me to clone it over to a road runner...but I would be driving as lie, besides my satellite should put a whoop'n on a mustang the same as a RR ;)
