Thanks yes I saw that post. Looking at it more carefully I see the small vent tube does NOT come into the trunk compartment. I do know I need to check which tube is plumbed where in the tank as its an aftermarket. Thank you!

Yup it was the welds interfering. I ground them down. Presto…

I am looking at the welds as a possible cause. Will grind the down a bit and see if that helps.

This engagement is way too tight! What’s going on here? There is no way this can fit let alone slide. It gets super stuck at 1” in I can barely pull it apart! Any ideas? It’s the plastic clips!

Yes it’s curved. You can see the last picture ears are more flared out making for a more snug fit. I assume that goes to the bottom. The other new one is identical.

I was looking at your thread. No mine was long gone. It appears there is a wider portion on one side and the other more narrow.

Done! I am not 100% on the penetration clearance but the weld and alignment is good.

The Plymouth Rubber Bands are now $75 with $15 shipping. Il use some tape lol.
