So between the mcleod and the center force , witch one would be smoother taking off for street use , I’m worried about them biting too fast on an easy take off

Can anyone identify this balancer, it’s on my 426 hemi with a blower , I can’t find where the pulley hub came from that fits to it
It has BDS parts up top but that didn’t help
The center bolt loosened up and broke the balancer
It looks stock but has a stud going into the pulley and the pulley...
So basically a quart of oil per oil change
Could just be moly rings not seating, i had that problem once, that engine lasted forever beating the crap out of it
The oil pan on my hemi leaked like a siv
With the 2 gaskets on the Windage tray, they seemed saturated and leaked all the way around, after ordering a puller for the center link I pulled the pan and found that someone put a chrome bolt kit, while the felt tight they weren’t, the chrome bolts are...
If you don’t have your original block it’s the next best thing

I personally don’t care if my car is or isn’t numbers matching as you can see from my cars
I have a 70 383 block that has no VIN or ID numbers
I got it from a guy that bought 71 4x4 truck that told me it got an engine replacement during warranty
I have it earmarked for 12.5’s on alcohol for a gasser but got to thinking it might be worth stupid money for someone trying to restore...

I miss spoke , I meant the retainer not the main cap
Like someone else was pointing out The retainer can bind on the bolts and cause leaks
edelbrock 800 will bolt right on and pull what your engine needs with no hassle , holly is great but can be confusing and time consuming if you dont know how to tune them unless you want to pay somebody $500 bucks or more to do it for you, JMO
