My minimum is just under 1k. Seems better when I get closer to 1100. Then it sounds too high but sounds smoother once in gear. I've got the MP509 cam which creates havoc for idling tho. Somebody will respond that's way more knowledgeable about this tho.

I'm not a expert but believe it should be around 8-900. I think it really depends on your setup; automatic vs manual. I've got an auto and I had problems with mine at 900. I'm up closer to 1k.
