I had a stubborn bulb that I very lightly filed the terminals on the bottom to slightly shorten them. Still working years later. I did add dielectric grease to protect the modified terminals.

Local parts stores might have something that will work depending on how correct you want to be. It might require some soldering and heat shrink tubing. Here is an example by Dorman some local parts stores can get if not have in stock. Not sure if this is the ideal replacement but hopefully...

I’m running a MSD 6AL that I bought in the late 1990’s. Still running good.

I tweaked my tabs a little but mine aren’t the tightest.

I used the same MSD 8920 adapter mentioned above.

what tach are you using? For my tach I had to use an MSD tach adapter that converts the signal to one that my old tach would work with.

Had a voltage regulator do something similar when it went bad. Also check your grounds to make sure you don’t have a bad connection.
