    Barn finds?

Once they're gone, they're gone. Whether in a barn, garage, museum or under a carport, I can appreciate any effort at keeping these old rigs around. I'm glad there's folks out there who care enough about 'em to do that.

Where is Everyone Staying at Carlisle this Year?

Likely heading down again in the RV like last year. Sweet little parking spot adjacent to one of the entrances we are hoping to score again this year.

Coolant water frozen - what next?

I was told antifreeze is prohibited on some tracks due to it's slick properties being a hazard if ever spilled.

Coolant water frozen - what next?

Automatic car? Transmission cooler inside radiator? If so, don't put it in gear until you confirm the integrity of that cooler. Don't want to risk getting water in the transmission if that cooler is damaged.

Square back alternator field wire size ?

IIRC 18ga should suffice for the field wires. Your FSM wiring diagram will confirm.

    What’s a Belvedere?

I always liked the Plymouth styling over the Dodge personally, in particular the mid 60's thru early 70's. The '66 & '67 are by far my favorite years for the Belvedere. Although I'd personally prefer a non-modified driver in either year, it's pretty cool what has been done to these (2) '66s...

Driving in winter with dry roads?

It was a tough pill to swallow trailering the Duster home from Michigan to NY a few years back. Roads were dry but salt was down. The salt dust got on it and under it driving home. When I got it home I masked off all areas I wanted to keep water out of and then rinsed everything down good. I...

    Hagerty insurance

I currently have (4) cars covered by Hagerty. Haven’t had to make a claim thus far. I don’t feel the premium I pay is excessive for the coverage they provide. However I’ve never price shopped for classic insurance either.

    Bad fuel messed up valves?

In the cars I try to keep the fuel as fresh as possible. Daily drivers are easy but the older, less driven ones, can be a little trickier. (2) years ago we acquired a jet ski from my BIL that had been sitting for 18 years in his garage. My son and I drained about 10 gallons of old gas out of...
