I’m not familiar with EFI on these rigs, having only carburetors myself.
But this place is loaded with experienced folks in about every aspect, option, modification or flavor you can name...
Check for leaks. If none are found I’d suspect boil-off as others have mentioned.
I have (3) Eddy carbs that all have a noticeable gas odor after they’re hot. I’ve concluded it’s due to boil-off. Dissipates after a short while. It’s not too annoying as the cars are parked in a larger space...

The centering of the rear axle looks way better than when you started. Good job there. Definitely do what you must to lose the shackles. I think they take away from the look you're trying to achieve. At least from what I understood in your initial introduction a week or two ago. I really do like...
Oh the writing and and artwork on the walls before they’d get skim coated or covered with drywall in a reno project. I learned a whole new vocabulary as an apprentice.
