Seen plenty of buttfaces list later center links as "V8" links, but as said, they are all indeed the same 67 and up.
Which one am I? Siskel or Ebert? LOL
Very simple to diagnose instead of all the "I thinks". Get your wife to press the brake pedal and hold it firmly. While she is doing that, starting at the right rear, crack the line loose going to the wheel cylinder, then the left. The proceed to the next junction which will be the block on the...
I am fixin to swap a later B body 8 3/4 rear axle into my 65 Coronet that now has the tapered 8 3/4 rear axle in it. Can I use the early rear axle backin plates on the later 8 3/4 non tapered axle housin? Thankya.
Super Stock springs ain't the devil. They work great for what they're intended for. I kinda like um. If you choose wisely your car won't ride harsh either. Just like mentioned though, they do require longer front hangers because the front segment is shorter to also act as a traction bar. The...
I would think exactly the opposite. They WERE probably the same when new. Over time, since the car does torque that way, the right spring is probably worn more than the left. It would probably not hurt to have them re-arched while you have them apart. I would not do it without having heat...
The springs are different because they have to handle loads differently. When accelerating, the car torques to the right. This is why the right spring has an extra leaf and is different. Don't worry about 1/4" difference. As long as the car is no more off than that 1/4", you're fine.
Is the master cylinder mounted with the front up at an angle? If so, it's a PITA to get air out of it. You should jack the car up until the master cylinder is level and then bleed.
Yup, you're absolutely right. They used to point the opposite direction. I swear to God they caint leave anything alone. Used to be you pointed the arrow toward the frame to make that side of the control arm longer. That's nuts. Best thing to do is ignore the arrow and lust look at the hole...
It's real simple to figure. out. Imagine the upper and lower ball joint in your mind from the passengfer's side (front to you're right) of the car, but with them perfectly verticle, making a perfectly verticle steering axis.
Now, imagine moving the upper ball joint in front of the lower ball...
I've installed MANY offset bushings like that. Whoever told you to press the washers in with a vice is dead RIGHT. That's how you do it. Once they are pressed all the way on, they will fit. However, I will say this. I don't know how you installed all the bushings. But the correct way if you are...
