My guess is you have some crappy fans. 3 crappy fans won't cool as good as one good one. Flex A Lite has a line of really nice ones called Black Magic. They ain't cheap but they move some air. A shroud won't hurt either, but if the fans are junk, a shroud won't band aid um.

More clues would help. When does it overheat? Sitting still? Runnin down the road? How hot is hot? What CFM are the fans total? You need around 4K CFM to cool a high performance street engine.
