I've seen nicer 1 ower nut/both cars sell for less more recent than that.. in better color also (imho). The market was on fire in May.. things cooling off a bit.. but still in crazy land sometimes.
almost the opposit of my experience.. flew half way across the country to check out an option before buying and was anything but what was described.. stupid me only bought a 1-way ticket thinking id drive it home.. so a premium was paid to get back same day needless to say.. waste of time and...
yea, thats a flip by that dealer.. i found the original listing from the orig owner/seller from june on ebay.. said the 440 was replaced in the '90s with a "built" 383.. car was originally F5 Green I think he said.. too many blemishes on that car for the money.. hell it didnt even have a gas...
Besides the obivous of hiding defects is there a reason everyone seems to slather fresh undercoating on these 'restored' chargers? Was this typical factory practice??
here's a full documented, mint, 1 owner, 440 4spd true R/T that just sold for $130k.. condition about a 1.5..
Used 1968 Dodge Charger R/T For Sale (Sold) | NFI Empire Stock #C3164
they had several binders fully documenting ownership, car, purchase, etc.. its nice. a Unicorn even.
yea.. the 4spds have more engagement in the experience.. Id consider an auto also if the other options/condition/price mix is correct.. still hunting..
yea.. For a Condition #1 concours car.. which is basically undriven. Not really looking for something like that. Condition #2 which is a proper restoration in great condition driven to shows etc.. would be perfect..
its lovely and quite a bargin.. but really would like a Charger. Thank you for pointing it out.. sweet ride with nice story!
Yes, a few actually because one got locked after a week or so???
