Came out of a 68 Sport Satty. Got the quarter glasses, regulators, and every piece to put them in a hardtop car. Glass is perfect. Tinted as it came out of an AC car. What should I price this stuff at? Never sold these parts before. Thanks in advance.
I have seen some shoddy work come out of the installation center. One of the best metal guys around is in TN and doing a 68 road runner for me right now. A true artist
Pistons are forged for sure. I was told it was built right. I am aiming to to maybe take it apart and just check everything out and figure out exactly what I have. Gaskets are cheap and they painted it the wrong color anyway. Dang thing is corporate blue. I was told that was the pint the engine...
It’s going to be an OEM resto. Engine is original from the carb to the oil pan as it came in the car. It’s an early 68 four speed post car that was ordered with A/C so it’s a pretty rare bird. Didn’t come with power steering or power brakes but I have considered adding steering just for drivability
So my 68 road runner that I’m restoring came with the original numbers matching engine already rebuilt and assembled. I verified everything with the bore scope and she’s new. I was told it was built back to stock specs. How will the camshaft sound is my question? Not looking for a ton of power...
My 68 RR is a numbers matching early 68 four speed with factory AC in one year only QQ1 Electric Blue. It deserves the stuff I need off of the Satty. Plus the Satty will help a lot of other cars live on as well when I sell everything I don’t need. The Satty is a complete car as far as rolling...
it is a nice car. It’s being sacrificed for the greater good though and will help a lot of other cars live again with all the parts I don’t end up needing.
Thanks. There are a lot of mopar people in my area but B body stuff isn’t easy to get anymore. All the four doors got crushed out several years ago when scrap went sky high. A lot of good two doors cars were lost too. Everyone wants to bitch and moan about people asking too much for their cars...
so I bought a 68 Satellite parts car for my road runner build. Has a complete 8/34 rear end in it. I haven’t checked but I feel certain it isn’t a sure grip. Assuming that what’s it worth? Going to be selling a lid of parts off of this car going forward but I have someone wanting the rear diff.
I just stumbled across this channel on YouTube. It’s all the old shows from SPEED. Pretty awesome to get all of this stuff aggregated in one place in my opinion. Looks like they are adding new shoes daily too
I do think it’s cool that it’s a stripe delete car. The original engine is gone. Talked to the guy who had it and he said he threw a rod through it in his drag car years ago.
it’s an automatic car. He’s a bit high for a car that needs restoring I think without the original engine. If I can get him down a few thousand I’m a player. He also has a 68 Satty that has been cloned into a runner. It’s a nice looking car. His dad painted it sublime green which isn’t a 68...
Well I went and had a closer look. The old car has good bones. VIN matches the fender tag. I didn’t have a key to get the trunk open to check the hidden numbers and honestly didn’t have time either. Will go back. The car is yellow now but was originally a TX9 black car with black interior...
