Mine had a thin foam type gasket on it when i replaced my booster...I didn't put it back on..i haven't noticed anything different without it being there...
I had the exact same issue with my 73 RR..no fluid to the rear brakes...I went as far as taking the guts out of the proportioning valve and cleaning them, same problem, no fluid...So i found another p-valve off a local junk d250 van...that fixed the issue...
IMO, the p-valve you have is...
just to update the thread...There was plenty of adjustment in the firewall mounting plate to center it back up with the steering box :)

thats what i was looking for...I wasn't sure if there was any sort of freeplay adjustment on the box side or column side, As I'm sure the previous owner removed the column at some point..the car was partially taken apart when i got it...:)

Hey guys, i need some help on my 73 RR...:)
Problem: The steering box is off center in relation to the steering column..The input shaft on the box is approximately 1/2 inch off to the left(toward the engine) of the column end shaft...What would cause this..?
The only thing that i could think...
Monroe shocks are not very long lived, so yeah it's no surprise that they are done already...
I have a set of bilsteins on my truck, still going strong after 100k miles....they are pretty much the best shock absorber on the market imo...
