Hey Kern, I’m heading over to Thunderhill on Memorial Day for a track day. I’m taking my Bee if I can get the trans finished up. You should go. It gives you a good reason to order up the steering box and get it finished.
I have adjusted steering boxes in the past to tighten up the slop. There is a proper procedure so be careful if you decide to mess with it. When I was younger and more careless, I just turned screws till the gear box on my truck felt good. Too much and the steering got to tight.
I’ve found a lot of improvement changing the steering shaft coupler from stock to the borgenson u-joint style. Borgenson Link There is always a bunch of play there that can be eliminated and the borgenson feels way more connected. I’ve done it on a few trucks and it was we’ll worth it.
I bought this kit from Summit Racing. At the time, it came with brackets for the lower arms. My car had brackets from the factory so I never used them.

No problem. I’d love to see the build and I highly recommend taking it out to a track day when you finish. It’s gotta be the most fun I’ve ever had with a car, and I have quite the resume.

I have the Mopar Perfomance HD springs with a small lowering block in the rear of my 69' Bee. Added sways (F+R) and upgraded the front end with bigger T-Bars. It handles pretty good and is very predictable out on the track.
