    Heat crossover port

The problem I have with my 383, stock intake, is the heat passage burns the paint off of it. Also, with the cheap ethanol gas, I seem to have more issues with vapor lock, or the gas evaporating so quickly, it re-starts very hard after running it on Hot Summer days. I was hoping this would help...

    Difference in intakes

If you're not going for originality, why not use a newer Edelbrock, and matching carb ? It will probably wake your engine up some, seeing you are using headers also. We did that on our 340, using a Quick-Fuel carb, and couldn't be happier with it....

Edelbrock RPM Intake for 383, Heat Ports ?

A friend of mine "permanently" loaned an RPM intake to me, and I was considering installing it on my '70 383. I was wondering if it is worth the effort to block the heat passage ports that pass under the carb ? Will this benefit keeping the heat away, or am I risking damage the top end by...
