    Well. Turns out it was a non-issue. The rear studs are 1/2". The fronts are definitely 7/16" so maybe somebody changed the front drums during a brake job at some point. Don't know but thanks for the replies.

    I went back out to the garage just to make sure I hadn't screwed up and measured wrong and ..... nope, the old 7/16" lug nut won't fit on the 1/2" stud on the Dr. Diff rotor. I don't know what the deal is.
