They do make lower air cleaner bases. May have to get the entire top and bottom pieces.
Here’s a dropped base off summit.. if it close, these bases will work. If it isn’t close to fitting then...plan b

I used all 440 source components for my 512 stroker build. However, I went ARP with all the bolts. I hadn’t heard anything bad about the house bolts but just spent the extra on ARP. I figured I spent that much already, why not? Good luck with your build!
I ran the 6al-2 programmable in my charger with a 512 stroker (lower cr cr is 9:8 which is lower than what you’re talking about) It died on my out on the road. The 6al-2 program stuff I thought was minimal and really wasn’t going to do much for me. I’m now running the 6al and no issues at all...
Did the big upgrade last winter with the 400/512 stroker. Once I got it out on the street, quickly realized the front suspension /steering needs a little work. Ok, maybe a ton of work. So, I know it's not a race car and just a street car, but that will be my direction this winter.. Hope...

It wasn't great. Little hesitation it acted like getting bogged down a little. It's like it was holding the shot and then getting another.
If I had used soap to clean it, I would think the same. That's why acting like it is surprises me. Unless I just didn't get it cleaned good enough!
I'm...
That's funny! It doesn't matter on the 950 how you open the throttle, slow or fast. Fuel stays in that booster kind of reminds me of those old bubble bottles with the little wand. You dip it in and you can see the bubble right there. Lol
I recently picked up a Holley 950. It needed a kit and a cleaning at it has been preserved pretty well. I through a good cleaning to it with Berryman chem dip and good old fashioned hot water after. Used compressed air to blow it all out.
Fast forward couple days when we through it on the new...
Also, once I got mine all spaced correct on the shaft, I pulled apart and took each rocker and soaked in oil to pre lube before final install. I just payed out the shaft and spacers. Had a friend give me that little tip. No issues after! Good luck! It was tedious but not too bad.
