My 71 torino could have had that issue, had it been worn a little more.
The floor shifter could rotate a bit clockwise/counterclockwise that felt like it was pivoting on/at the 3 o'clock position.
If you held it rotated counterclockwise (somewhat unnatural unless you were also swinging your legs...
A stiffer spring is probably not going to resolve the OP's "corner pop" issue.
That's likely a mounting adjustment at the fender.....and it's a PITA to get 100% right involving some counter-intuitive movements.
Clips on the channel and screws from the bottom has been discussed on here a few times.
I've not actually seen it successfully implemented though.
Shorter screw probably necessary.
Another option I've thought about, is a stud welded through the clip.
I'm afraid to take my cracked windshield...
66 440 and 500 side trim is VERY different, as I'm sure most know.
440 goes right down the center from almost the front of the fender to almost the quarter extension, while 500 is rocker molding and those rectangles under the side rear window.
67 is much more similar, at the lower body line...
Yep. under the quarter window is a terrible area for that.
Rain does get in between the seas and glass, and...
The inner surfaces of the panels are not sealed well with paint, sometimes only in absorbent primer.
...and the area between the quarter and rocker, where all that water collects is...
"Spot Rot" is one brand but since the late 90's they've been real hard to find.
I've bought two via ebay in that time frame "Auto Lak" is the brand and they are made in Poland IIRC of all places.
"Lak" is a Polish abbreviation for "lacquer" IIRC and the name suggests it's a tool to spot "thick...
To me, that looks like previous body work coming back out.
"Rust" in that area would either start on the exterior (which it's clearly not) or from the back side, between the QP and the drop-off.
If that were the case, there would be an obvious issue in the trunk, like a leak.
No.
As stated- 66 back up lights are in the deck lid, 67 are in the bumper.
Rear panel is totally different.
...and...
66 has indentation at body line on top surface, 67 has protrusion.
Technically yes but...
You also need the quarter extensions and
The backup lights are in the deck lid in 66 but in the bumper for 67 and
There's a part of the quarter panel, behind the extension that may need ground down because
The 66 tail lights are larger
If the OP is talking about matching the paint with a "gun" camera, they need a reasonably flat, roughly 6" square area.
Hood hinge doesn't have that.
That's a really common color.
My advice would be to find a car at a show, that matches your hinge, and ask to have that car color matched.
That's kind of funny.
The first time I was ever in a paint booth, back in the late 1980's, the painter was all stoked about showing off the electrostatic charge hook up he was using to make the flakes stand on end while the paint dried.
