Apparently this is a commonly missing or damaged part.
It was the first part to sell from my 71 parts car.
It looks like it could be somewhat easily reproduced from metal the size and shape of a $1 electrical box cover.
I almost placed that sale on hold until I tried it. It was that tempting...
72 fenders are bolt on but the marker light is different.
If you saved the area with the markers, provided they weren't damaged in that area....
73/74 fenders can work if absolutely necessary.
The wheel opening is larger, the bottom body line doesn't really line up, and there are some bolt and...
yep.
I sold a really, I mean REALLY nice one a few years ago for $40 for the whole cluster.
It might could have passed for NOS except it had a 3/16" chip missing at one of the corners where it goes over the column.
I wish I had that one back.

If I have to repaint one, I'll just paint the one I already have.
I'd like one a little nicer than that and that price is ridiculous for the condition it's in.

I'm looking for one in nice shape with good chrome and wood grain.
I don't need a $200 or more NOS part, though.
I have other 71-74 parts and...
...and every time this comes up, I ask if we can document if these intakes are actually the same casting or not, and if not which ones fit or do not fit properly (as I've heard several times).
...and every time NO ONE volunteers anything.
I'm kind of in the same boat with my Motor Wheel Spyders.
VERY specific nuts. The have a conical seat and a bottoming shank.
ET nuts are similar, with the cone, but too long of a shank.
I've considered milling off the bottom of the shank, but was concerned about rust on the newly milled surface.
z bar goes from trans to frame rail.
Transfers motion from clutch pedal to clutch fork.
Frame rail mount is weld on for these cars.
Bench seat cars and buckets with buddy seat/arm rest used a long shifter handle and the forward mount position along with a larger mount and shift rods.
