This is the extremely overpriced piece that replaces that mangled piece of plastic. The problem I have found...
I second this option. I purchased the AMD glass and come to find out I could have got the glass + install cheaper if I would have gone with a local glass installer.
I paid 2500 for my paint job and another 600 in material. Body work was already done and car had single stage hot rod black on it already. Used Summit racing 2 stage paint and clear. you can read a newspaper in the finish. Not sure what 5000 dollars in paint alone buys you? I have some areas I...
Sounds like you are now the proud owner of a 67 coronet hood trim piece. The Coronet trim piece comes to a point in the middle the Plymouth BEL,SAT, GTX is pretty much flat.
I used fine and super fine polishing compound with a 4 inch foam pad on the die grinder to clean up my windows. It took away most the scum and minor scratches. I also used to work on fiber optic equipment and to polish glass fibers we would use a series of fine grain sand paper. 3000k 5000k 8000k.

I am having a similar issue with mine once I installed the seals and latches. From what I have read its damn near impossible to get a perfect alignment on these with factory latches. I messed with mine for over an hour re positioning the latch assembly until I got it to what was acceptable to me...
I recently did this before putting my glass back in to get rid of 50 yrs of build up and scratches. Get a small buffing wheel with foam pad and use a fine buffing compound, then super fine compound on the whole window. This was after going over the whole window with wd40 and razor blade then...
I am looking for advice on adhering the 1/4 window and front window vertical trim piece to the window glass. I see where someone used roof and flashing sealant. I have already tried 100 percent silicone and 3m trim adhesive with no luck. The trim falls off the quarter window after a couple of...
True for non-metallic but the summit system specifies clear over top of their single stage metallic paints. You cant buff single stage metallic so you have to have a clear on top to buff.
When I sent mine to paint I provided my painter with 1 gallon summit single stage metalic and 1 gallon of high solid clear. I got back about 1 pint of the color and 1 quart of clear.
I have a couple of their HVLP guns. They are nice guns for the sub 100 price range. Haven't used their paints though. I mainly use UPOL products for prep and primer and then Summit Brand paints for color.
