Legendary is good for factory reproduction kit, but expensive. That being said the factory stuff was not all that great in my opinion so you may be disappointed when your $500 door panels show up and they are thin heat pressed vinyl over Masonite. Avoid PUI their quality is crap. The vinyl they...
Best bet is thin masonite. I made some out of PVC election signs but they were to thick with all the material to fit under the top door trim piece on my Coronet. Ive heard of people using the thin vinyl that HD lowes has for like laudry room walls as well but its possible with our Texas heat...
Any DFW area members have a 66-70 door card laying around I could use as a template to trace out new door cards? I've tried the clear vinyl transfer method but since I am unsure where the original door card lands on the door I am getting mixed results.. Does the door card sit inside the lifted...
There are a few out there. Legendary, OER, a couple of ebay sellers have them. If its a post car hit me up I have one for that as I accidentally ordered the post HL and didnt figure it out till I went to install it months later. Ended up getting the OER one from SUMMIT that they had in stock.
Considering the OP was asking for a way to buy some time I offered up a solution. I've done this process on a few flip cars and you'd be amazed at how the cracks shrink up. Leather is skin and just like dry skin once you introduce oil back into it it will become supple again and many of the...
Start by cleaning with saddle soap. Then go over them with utter cream (test a small section first) rub it in good. Let that sit over night then treat with BEESWAX wood conditioner. Let this sit a couple of days then buff them with micro fiber buffing wheel or hand cloth. If you like gloss you...
I've used them with success on notoriously crappy 2000's era model Dodge trucks.
Seems an odd choice for the Coronet. Were you just not wanting to pull the pad? I would think for the same cost you could get new vinyl wrapped over the existing pad at any upholstery shop.
The main roll up window rides inside the frame of the vent window and like I said the vent window needs to go forward at the top before you can then lift it out. If the roll up window is still in place it will prevent you from pushing the a Frame forward.
sounds like you have them all. They do require a bit of convincing to come out though. At the front of the frame is a fork that rest on over a bar in the door frame. There may be some corrosion in that fork area. you can spray some penetrating oil up there and then from the top of the a frame...
I just recently disassembled the cluster on my coronet and used a drill bit slightly larger than the diameter of the melted plastic. It does not take much effort to free the ridge. Use low speed and knock the top off of the plastic rivet for lack of a better word. Then you can pop it loose with...
If she is just going to wrap it and not recover it than you can use HD spray foam to fill the hole and cheese grater file to file it down to the level of the original vinyl. For the cracks you could try a 2 part epoxy and then place the part under a board with weights or clamp to get it as close...
Yeah you can. Some units may require a retrofit kit which is essentially a secondary ball valve tee'd into the main feed to help purge air pockets that get trapped in the feed lines when using soda. The only other issue with using it in a blast cabinet is visibility. you may need to do it in...
