Here is a write up I did to adapt a 1st gen dakota motor to my 67. You may need to modify it according to whats available in your region when it comes to the wiper linkage bars. https://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparforum/threads/wiper-motor-alternative.197393/#post-911619410
I do not know anyone personally in SA but if you do not get any responses look to the custom Jeep/4x4 market as well as independent muffler shops. They tend to be well versed in welding on frames and quick turn around as opposed to a resto or frame shop.
It may depend on where you sourced your gasket. The one I used on my Coronet was a Goodmark piece and I did not have to slit the gasket. Not sure if it was due to the AMD glass not being exactly right but I did have to use silicon in the lower corners to get a good seal. There was about a 1/4...
Easier said than done. Prior to cash for clunkers this was good advice but in my travels of over a dozen junk yards I have found 1 pre LX rear drive Mopar and its brakes were already gone. Even perusing C-list I see maybe one dippy or 5th ave pop up every 6 months and some guy is asking 5 grand...
I purchased one about a yr ago for 100 and didn't feel that was unreasonable. It was in very good shape and basically only needed to be cleaned to bring it back to life. I think some of the guys on ebay are asking crazy prices as I have seen them well over 200 for ones needing restoration.
Going with LED,s in mine. Piced up some H4 housings at a swap meet but they are the same that oracle and other sell. You have to cut the hole out on the 67 headlight buckets to fit them (about 1/4inch further). Amazon sells H4 connector Leds, that plug in where an H4 Halogen would fit.
There is a local trim restoration shop here in North TX that quoted me 600-900 to restore mine to paint quality. Meaning probably another 4-500 in argent coating and chrome work so that 1300 sounds about right. I had planed on painting mine anyway because I don't like chrome on muscle cars so if...
I am working on fabing the surrounds out of Carbon fiber. Using the good drivers side ones I have a plug. If I can get it to work then Ill either get my passenger side fixed or try finding a better one that I can fix with body filler to use as a plug for the passenger side mock up. If I would...
Mine is a 67 and if i cant find a decent pass. side surround I am going to install the 66 set up I have on a shelf until I find one. The 67 as mentioned has headlights that set further out and use a separate headlight bucket setup. The 66 bucket are tack welded to the core support the 67 come...
Beware, the 6 pack scoops are not a simple bolt on. I was originally going to put one on mine but because they have a bottom flange all the way around the base they require extensive body work to line up with the indent on the 66/67 coronet hoods. that originally did not discourage me but after...
Beautiful cars and since you asked I will chime in. Unfortunately value is subjective and 67,s just dont bring the same money as 68-71 cars bring. At 50k you are in crazy auction price territory and after you factor in fees and transport you end up with somewhere in the high 30,s to low 40 take...
Herbs sells the clip kits and lock link bars. Trim-Parts on ebay sells the window rollers and gaskets. I think herbs might as well. To my knowledge nobody sells a reproduction latch assembly. I actually bought a set of latches (the door part) for my Coronet on ebay. They were for a 60,s A100...
