^^^^I agree. Cars are meant to be driven. I have done many old Mopars since the 80s some nut and bolt restos, for many years now days I just want: get it running, then get it driving (safe), then I want rust gone> Anything else comes as it can and is just "fluff"!

You can determine how good the body is, the engine is pure guess! Solid body, non runne, like said $5000 and if you want it bad, go from there.

Kid back in SW Ga graduated a year or two ahead of me (1966). He ran shine to Atlanta in a 65 Impala, had a 427 and 4 speed. That trunk was big. The reason the broiler business started in N Ga was to replace the shine business.

That is my idea, just a good running stock 440 those gears and a 4 banger!!! If that ain't fun, nothing is! Now for me to just find a decent running stock 440 IN Tx or La that does not cost an arm and a leg! I got the 4 speed!

Back in bout 2205 I had a base Charger 400 4 speed car, I think it was 73 or 74 car. Cool car. I coold hardly give it way when I wanted it gone. Finally got $3000 and it was solid driver, needed really nothing. That was 15 years ago.

Old MOpar? First thing is pull the gas tank clean check for leaks rust holes, pull out the sender and probably order new one and new ground strap for sender. Next is clean and kit for carb. Ceck al brake lines for need of replacement. Welcome!!!!!!!

If you check carefully you will see the prices in general of Muscle cars are down, and been down a while. And the worth of a given car even at the inflated auctions there is a lot of difference between a correct car and a pieced together car.
