If I remember correctly the owners name is Kevin...I used to see him around the SRT forums back in the day. He always seemed like a pretty knowledgeable guy and was I don't remember anyone having issues with his company. I never personally used him, but read nothing but good things.
As has been said, tires will make for a noticeable difference and would be the first thing to address. The Coopers are great street tires (better than BFGoodrich in my opinion) but performance is not one of their strong suits.

If you bought the car as an investment piece only for it's value, stick to the factory color. If you bought the car to enjoy it and make it your own...go with whatever will make you happiest when you see it sitting in your garage.
The '68 rendition were my favorite...two thick stripes flanked by two smaller ones. I'm a bit bias as my Dad has a triple black '68 R/T with white bumblebee stripes.
I agree about the 70 side option....not my taste at all.
I've always been a fan of the bumblebee stripe...especially on '68's.
If you want to keep it cleaner and aren't against going away from OE...maybe a flat yellow.
