Blacking out the front chrome on the 73/74 RRs totally transforms those year model from cars to beasts. :headbang:
Wonder what it could do for the '75?
Here's one going for $80 w/shipping, but it ends in 30 minutes as I'm posting. Maybe contact seller and see if he ever gets unrestored ones that you could restore yourself...
Here's mine, and see my sig for what I think about clones vs. purebreds.
I was lucky enough to find a beat-up grille for "only" $600 and had fun repairing/restoring it. If you can't find one, you can always say that someone backed into you and wrecked the '72 grille so you're temporarily...
Not a problem! Mine once wore a slant-six and now has a 408 stroker. And my pop's old '70 Belvie had a ragged-out 318 that got replaced by a 426. Original engines are just a way to pull into the garage for a transplant. :D
Radios are unnecessary? How will you know which car dealer is having a HUGE INVENTORY REDUCTION SALE and which furniture stores are having ONE NIGHT ONLY CELEBRATIONS in your local tri-county area?
I've got a RetroSound unit in my '72. Looks great, sounds great, has an iPod jack, fits the original holes and just needed 1/8" of filing along the bottom edge to fit tight. http://www.retrosoundusa.com/products/details/id/127
