Channel felts got through Parts Mix. Went through several sets. Frustrated with the windows did not want to roll up and down without tearing the felts. Tried several types of lube products. One destroyed them. Red moly grease too sticky. Then remember when I was in a shop working on cars the...
After market junk!!!!! So, we all have found out this to be true. Was told by one supplier just be glad you got something that looks like it. What kind of answer is that.
Did anyone prep the metal on their fuzzy's. I did found rust had already started to form. Did not think I would have to do this. But after restoring the car found that is a problem you should address. Just to say. Trying to find good window channel felts is one of our other problems and how to...
I stopped my insulation before the upper floor pan went to the door sill's. No issues with the shifter hump and carpet. That was the X Matt. The price of it was not bad. Each to his own and very happy with the X matt.
East wood has a special mat for roof and under hood. It will withstand the heat in the summer. I did my roof before putting the head liner in. But did not do the hood. Just ordered the fiber glass hood insulation. They sell the x mat.
That is what I put in my Runner also. Not much room for anything else when putting the back seat in on those top hook's. Might could put some kind of heat liner on the side towards the trunk once the board is in. Blue
Used a soldering Iron to make holes in my carpet. Make's it less ragged on the edge. Some one did not take their time. On the install. A slice at top to go around steering column then use carpet tape to make a good seam. Just another two cent's for the jar.
If their is not plastic a round the area. Steel you wife's hair dryer and slightly heat it up. I have use the heat gun on a lot of parts that did not require a lot of heat and it worked fine with JB blaster applied. Just thinking. Wish you luck don't give up the ship. LOL.
Look's really good. You won't be sorry you did this. That is what you look at most in the car when driving. Here is mine restored here in Fla. The speed O drive was shot and now is all new. Added the tach my self. Good luck buddy. Blue.
Think when ordering the kit it had all the screw's for interior. So what was left over just keep for spare part's. LOL. That is the bad part of some things having to get the hole kit.
Sorry for your luck. People like that should be hung out to dry. I guess I was fortune enough to buy most of my stuff off E bay. Had good luck. Only thing is when I bought the inner frame rail for the car both side's. When getting it from a salvage yard it was no better than what I had. Lost 400...
Just wonder if any one has installed those blank out's in the trunk. Like where it blocks the drop down area and the trunk from the front where the wheel well is. Looking into doing that would like to stop heat from traveling from the trunk to the passenger part of the car.
The X mat has no smell. Think it is butyl also. It sticks well. No issue with fitting console after installing carpet. That was my biggest concern was it going to inter fear with fitment.
bought X mat from East wood. After much research it seemed to be the best. The foil will cut you if not care full. LOL. Got the roof liner made for roof and hood application's. No problem with covering the tunnel. Every thing fit fine with the console. I was afraid of the thickness also. But...
Should be two clips that fasten them to the frame. Got new one's for my car did not have them of course. Put the clip's on and test fitted them then put glue on them so they would not move during install.
