Bring it down to my buddy here near Ann Arbor. He did my entire system from manifolds back for $450, and that was with mufflers, X pipe, and turn downs at the bumper. He would’ve done any size I wanted him to, but I had him do 2 1/2”. He does beautiful work!
Sawzall the mufflers off close to the body of the muffler, then cut off the remaining flange of the muffler that’s still on the pipe with a cutoff wheel. Or, if you can handle a sawzall alright, make a cut along the pipe and slide it off. If it’s inside the pipe, use the sawzall to cut a couple...
