Interesting point....you're the first person I've heard to mention that. My car (1975 fury sport) was originally equipped with that but at some point it was removed. I think maybe even some dealers removed it. There is a reset button on a module near the ECU that has to be pressed to reset...
I have a 75 Fury Sport and I wanted to add a factory tach to it. Has anyone done this kind of conversion? I have the tach, and also new ammeter/oil/fuel/temp gauges because the tach replaces two of them. I've also got the necessary fascia for the dash, and circuit board. Is there anything...
Everything is stock - using OEM parts. yes, I have the wiring diagrams/maintenance manuals but they are pretty useless for this application...they don't have enough detail.
I have a 75 Fury Sport....it has the standard gauges, and I wanted to add the factory tach. That also means that I had to replace the other gauges as well. Which I bought. Trouble is, I'm not sure if I have everything, and what else i will need to make the tach work and connect it. here's...
The alternator was replaced in my car not long before I got it...so the damage you mention may have already been done. Although the car does run pretty good. My ammeter gauge does not work either...could that be due to the ECU?
Thanks for the tip. According to the instruction sheet the new motor is supposed to be shipped in the park position. But with these autozone parts u never know.
Im mostly worried about connecting the linkage correctly. Not sure how it goes
The orange box has a bad reputation, but it looks so damn cool. Is it really a total piece of crap? Isnt it at least better that those scary black ones at the parts store?
Well, i appreciate the thorough response. But your early b body looks nothing like my 70s b body wiper setup. When they started the hidden wiper design in the 70s they changed everything. Does anyone have anything for later models?
How do I know when I should replace my ECU? And if I do, does it really matter whether I get the orange box, chrome box, etc.?
My car is running good right now....lately it hasn't cranked at the touch of the key like it used to and spins a bit. There's a lot of "syrup" that has drained from...
Does anyone have a diagram on how the wiper mechanisms are linked in a late b body (2 speed wiper). It seems a little complicated and I can't tell how everything fits together. My wiper assembly was missing when I got the car so I didn't have anything to go by.
Thanks....my motor was already removed by the previous owner..but I noticed that the replacement motor on rockauto had a full instruction set. I think the hardest part is going to be the gymnastics required to connect the linkage and bushing to the motor correctly.
ok so I saw in a magazine article that the fuse box in Furys were designed to flip up into the dash and flip out for easy access. Makes sense...but I can't figure out how this is supposed to go in. I'm afraid I will break it...maybe its broken already...but I can't move the tab. Does anyone...
I recently got a 75 sport fury and noticed that the fuse box is hanging down in an unusual way. I can't figure out how its supposed to go. In my other b bodies it attaches to the firewall...but here it seems to have with a special "tab" of some kind...pic is attached. any advice? I'm afraid...
I have a 77 Cordoba 400 4BBL bone stock - with lean burn. I found these two connections that were just hanging there near the coil. the first is a ring connector that looks like it should connect directly to the coil. The other is a male/female plug that is just hanging..I couldn't find...
The horn in my 'doba isn't working. I replaced the relay that plugs into the bulkhead, but I noticed that there wasn't any socket plugged into the three prongs of the relay on the front of it. I looked but couldn't see a free hanging socket anywhere....unless I'm missing it. Is it supposed to...
