I had one that was super stuck. Tried the vise grip trick, a 18" pipe wrench and couldn't do anything but knock the wrenches down the torsion bar. I loosened the LCA pivot shaft and used a pry bar to lever it rearward. Ended up being about 100 times easier than vise grips.
