I have a different Lang set and for just rethreading/chasing they are great.
I also bought the Hobart 140. I had no experience welding, but after watching some videos I gave it a shot. Easy machine to work with, even if it’s not the most adjustable.
I had a welder buddy come by and weld up parts of the frame that I wasn’t confident enough to do myself and he was really...
Good deal, I bought some 6 ton ones and they say the same. Some companies are getting shady with their marketing. These AC Delco ones from O'Reilly are listed as 3t per pair. It is not very clear from the advert, except that it says 'unit of measure: per pair', but on the box or instructions...
These are 8000 lb AC Delco jack stands bought here locally (O'Reilly, I think). Luckily I saw this as I was putting them under the car.
Pretty freaky. I've used these before and inspected them when I first bought them and didn't see anything.
No strange use or side-loading, just standard...
New place looks great, congrats! Bummer that the other house didn’t work out, with all the time and energy you invested. But good that you decided quickly to find the right solution.
Good luck with the rest of the build! Layout looks very nice. Love the side entry garage too.
I bought the ACDelco 6 ton stands from O'Reilly and they are stout and the welds look quality. They have the corners reinforced to distribute the load a bit, but do not have the full bottom plate...

I saw these at Costco and I haven't bought them yet, but am seriously considering replacing the fluorescent units in my garage with these:

They appear to be fully integrated, so you don't replace "bulbs" if...
I have an old timing light that was handed down from a family friend, but it’s at a point where it’s only good as garage art. I’ve had it apart to fix some wiring but it’s still behaving erratically.
I feel like I $100 is probably as much as or more than I need to spend, and these are well...
I have the CDI one as well and it is a high quality part for sure. Cost difference compared to the name brands was significant and as mentioned above they make the Snap On brand...
